Been awhile since my last post - not that I have a large audience anyways! I recently read Wil Wheaton's (WWdN) latest book, "Just a Geek". Excellent read - first I picked it up purely for pleasure, but after the first couple of chapters, I realized that his book had personal meaning for me. What geek hasn't had to struggle for personal identity and meaning? Well, I highly recommend it.
I also recently purchased R.E.M.'s latest album, "Around the Sun" and I am very impressed! After the first couple of listens it was much like any R.E.M. album for me. I start out not knowing whether I really like the album at all, and then after about three days I am HOOKED on a few songs. Absolutely amazing album, and Michael Stipe's voice just keeps getting better and better. My favourites include "Leaving New York", "Electron Blue", and my present best, "Aftermath".
