Life... what a concept ... nope - too deep even for me - how about something a little lighter: change! So why do people change? In particular, why does one change professions after several successful years of employ? Well, I have recently undergone thoughts about such a change, and to the best of my ability, I believe it is probably because we do not wish to turn 60 only to wonder what if... ? To sum up this rather lengthy post, keep on challenging yourself to do your best (and to look for what is best in others)!

I am currently sitting here enjoying parent-teacher interviews :^)
Funny how things do not change much - same questions and concerns,just different students. I would have to say that those parents who do come in to take the time to find out how their son/daughter is doing are the ones whose children stand a good chance of doing well.

Spent the last week developing the new nine-year German Language curriculum for Alberta Learning. I have to say that we Albertan's really know what we are doing with respect to curriculum! If you do not speak German you are really missing out. All students in Alberta will be required to have a second language when they graduate, and if you are interested in technology or working in Europe or over the Internet, I would reccomend German!

If you have not already been there, MIT's OpenCourseWare does a great job of offering materials for free to do a little self-learning. I have reviewed several courses, and although some of the lecture material is a little skimpy, you can track down the source documents for several of the readings to get to the really good stuff!

Matrix 2 just came out on DVD - of course I had to grab it! I would have to say that it will take something special in Matrix 3 to finish this series off!

Made the move to the Tungsten T3 - I am impressed! If you have not heard R.E.M.'s Bad Day, then you are missing out!

Back from fighting fires in Kelowna with the Armed Forces Reserves! Pretty troubling seeing all of the devastation first hand.

Well, nothing new yet but if you have not seen wilwheaton.net - check it out. I always liked that guy, just never knew him - and still don't. But I like his BLOG.
